We took the girls to JCPenney a few weeks ago to get our family Christmas picture. Here is a link to the photos: https://www.smilesbywire.com/home.asp?AC=LTPP0358115280JCP type Christina Doughman in the name line. It's nothing special but you can read on if you want to know more.
I normally go to JCPenney as we have a membership - meaning there are no sitting fees- and they send coupons regularly for a free 8x10. I know that I will usually have to wait even though I have made an appointment and this time was no different. Our appointment was for 9:30am as this is during Sofia's awake/happy time; we weren't seen until 10:45. That upset me a little but what was really frustrating is that the photographer seemed rushed. I know they were running behind but she would take one snap per pose...this doesn't work with a toddler and an infant. When I made the appointment I made them aware that I wanted family holiday shots as well as Sofia's newborn shots, and this was indicated on her paper, but once we were done with the few holiday shots she was ready to move on to the next person. I told her I had requested to have the newborn shots done and she obliged but continued in a rushed manner. I guess I will try and get one of the first appointments of the day in the future.

...and that's why I don't work in one of those chain studios! It's no fun to be the mom who has to wait, or the photographer who's running behind. But I think you're pics are cute. P2 is my fav. :-) You all look great!
Good lesson learned on getting the first apt. of the day (or right after lunch).
I like 2 and 18. Here is my suggestion-after going like every three months for the past 5 years:) We just switched to Sears-but we always did JcP before then. We always did the early-even then, they kind of are on slow mode. But, if go on seperate occasions, which I know can be more work, but you can use two different coupons and if you are frugal like me, which I know you are, and you stick to one pose, you can get out of there for $8 a session-with that coupon. Does that make sense? It just adds up so quickly when you can only use one coupon but need to get more pictures/poses. Better luck next time:)
I normally have pretty good experiences at JCP too but this last time was absolutely horrible! Sounds very much like your story! I think they must be double booking all their time shots to get in as many people as they can during the holidays or something? We have to travel an hour to get there too which makes it even worse if it doesn't work out well! Like i said we usually get good photos there but this last time was so awful I might not go back and it is mostly because the manager was rushing her photographers which made me upset!! I never complain so it was truly a bad experience!! Sorry yours was too!
The last couple times I've been there I haven't been happy either. Either the pictures don't turn out great or I feel like they are annoyed by us for some reason - maybe my constantly moving child??? :) I've gone to Portrait Innovations a couple times now and have been really happy. It's the same price and you get a lot more pictures. And, you get them the day they are taken instead of waiting a couple weeks.
