Well Checks
We took the girls in for their well check appointments on Valentine's Day. This may be the only time I am able to get them to overlap.
Linnea had a rough go of it in the beginning but warmed up to Dr. Norby when her exam was done. Linnea amazes us with her ever expanding vocabulary and her knack for telling stories one noun at a time. She is a pleasure to be around...well most of the time anyway. Dr. Norby reminded us that these aren't the terrible twos they are the "trying twos"....we look forward to the terrible threes! Linnea continues to put on weight rather slowly....she will love it if this continues throughout her life. She remains in the 5%ile for weight at 22 pounds 8 ounces and is in the 75%ile for height at 33 1/4 inches. She better watch out her sister may catch her soon.
Sofia had her four month check up, she is our 50/50 child. That is she is just below the 50th %ile for weight at 13 pounds 2 ounces and just above the 50th %ile for height at 24 1/2 inches. She is showing more and more of her personality everyday and absolutely adores her big sister. We will be working to solidify her schedule as her colic has disapated and she is over her cold. I look forward to a more content Mommy when this is accomplished.

Time with Aunt Heather...
We were blessed to have Aunt Heather accompany Grandma Jo for the weekend. You see Aunt Heather is set to deploy, with Aunt Ellen and Uncle Dan, in just a few weeks. We are very proud to have them as a part of our family and are thankful for their sacrifice for our freedom. Here are some pictures of Aunt Heather's time spent with Linnea....she did spend time with Sofia too but I don't have any pictures.
Bath time is so much fun....Oh, and I do have hair!
The Party
The menu was the same as last year's: PIZZA! We did have some extras though as Sofia's baptism was canceled due to Pastor Rich being sick, her party was set to be the following day. Grandma Dough brought some veggies, fruit, and coleslaw....yes, we know coleslaw does not normally go with pizza.

Linnea is 2!
Has it really been two years?! It is amazing to see how much Linnea has grown and learned in these two years. She has an impressive vocabulary and great problem solving skills....she is also a sweet big sister to Sofia.
Throughout the year Linnea had a significant fascination with giraffes so I assumed that her birthday cake would be a giraffe...well that all changed after our last trip to the zoo. The gorilla clapped and startled Linnea and since then she has been all about monkeys and gorillas. She had been interested in monkeys throughout the year as well but this "took the cake." HAHA

I baked the cake and Chris, the artist, frosted it.
